Is Your Car Ready to Hit the Street Racing Scene…? Part III
Hwokey, now that your front is totally pimped out let’s take a closer look at the sides… Beside the windshield at both sides, you can find the side view mirrors. Hey, not only do these things add style, it also serves as a protective device. C’mon driving with busted side view mirrors is just plain irresponsible. You won’t be able to see cars coming from behind. You can cause road accidents if you’re not careful which may end up costing you your life. An unfitting and inglorious way to end your life, if you ask me. You can also purchase custom side mirrors for your car. Some even come with lights that serve as an additional turn signal lights. Very cool indeed. These come in a variety of shapes, sizes, designs and colors. Choose the ones that look best with your car.
You may notice that we have added front skirts for your car. Well, I’m happy to inform you that you can add skirts to the sides as well. Again, this is to make the car look lower and faster. There are tons of designs available for the side skirts. You can even design your own if you’re up to it. If you have a reliable contact at your local auto shop that does custom pieces, much better. You can consult with an expert regarding the best design to go with your car. You should take the height into consideration. Too high will not reflect the new addition, while if it’s too low you might hit every hump in your neighborhood. It’s important to find a balance in there somehow. The skirt must be low enough to serve its function but not too low as to hit the ground. Just give it the right clearance and your all set.
Okay now we move on to one of the most important parts of the car: the wheels. I say it’s one of the most important because quite frankly without them you wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. The wheels, with axles of course, provide the means for the car to go forward. It is the proper receiver of the engines power. It is the medium that translates that power to motion. Tires protect the wheels and give you more traction. Tires come in a variety of models. Some are for racing and others for more delicate situations like in snowy conditions. Head on over to your local tire shop and they will gladly recommend the best set of tires for your purpose.
The rims are one of the most aesthetically pleasing parts in your car. Stock rims are just plain boring man. There are tons of custom rims available on the market today that will seriously amp your car’s looks up. Some go directly for chrome for its flashy nature however serious racers might want to try other materials like alloys because it is way much more durable than chrome. They are more resilient and will hold even in extreme situations unlike chrome which may bend and break.
And to finish it off you might want to check some lowering kits as well. Some just shortens the springs directly by cutting pieces of it. This is way too dangerous since this reduces its reliability immensely. Grab only reliable lowering kits from reliable brands to ensure safe driving through and through.
Okay we’ve just about finish doing the sides. We will be doing the rear end next. Keep watching.
